A.I. and I

Raised from the dead! Of all things to report back, A.I. and I managed to resurrect the old iMac. The drive I thought had died, due to its age, has been wiped clean and brought back to life. It is “starting over” and I am so very surprised. Not to mention the money I will save not having to purchase another Apple Computer.
It is an old O.S. (11.7.10) on it: Big Sur. This is the last O.S. I can put on it so now I need to figure out what to do with it. The Mac mini I am writing this on is not yet two weeks old and the monitor is an ASUS something or other. $300.00 or so dollars. The rub is the iMac has a Retina screen and I use that monitor for LIghtroom and Photoshop. Along with the repair of the Fusion drive (HDD and SSD combo) wipe I lost my old Lightroom installation so I have to figure out if I can use LIghtroom Classic for so old an O.S.
Now, I did all this with the help of Copilot A.I. It can be downloaded and for tech is one of the better ones unless you’re writng code for production. In that case Windsurf A.I. may be the one you want.
For now it is a wait and see though I am still surprised to have that iMac up and running. Cost me nothing either. Just three plus hours of back and forth with A.I. That is cheap the way I see it. So, that is the result of patience and learning how to make computers do what you want them to do made so much simpler with A.I. The questions asked of A.I. are the important aspect of success with it. Ask a good question and you will get a good answer, for the most part.
