iMac/Crucial X 10

One of my Macs is an iMac, late 2014. I am writing this from my new Mac Mini as the iMac is stll installing the new software and, hopefully, on the new Crucial X 10. I studied up on this and managed to flounder my way through and it seems to be working nicely in that it is reassigning everything I wanted to transfer from the old Mac to the Crucial X 10.

The iMac had only a 512 MB HDD and the Crucial is 4 TB and faster by far than the old Mac. I wondered what in the blazes I was going to do with a 4 TB ssd with Apple Big Sur on it and I’m still not certain. I am always up for a challenge so I went forward with the transfer.

At this moment (5:50 pm) I am waiting a couple of hours for the transfer to complete and only then will I know if I screwed up royally or was fantastically successful or, shucks, half way in between. Either way, I am figuring out how to do new things which is fun if not a bit distressing at times.
