An “Earthy” Tone

For the non-active portion of the background I went with an “Earthy” tone. For now at least. Who knows, in a while my understanding of what this website represents may change. I decided to perform this color change as I want, for a few short lines, to speak of our world as represented by our planet. Uniquely, our planet. Other life forms exist here but are, unfortunately, not aware of what this planet offers what I term, the “higher” forms of life here or, us. Humans.

As far as science knows and we really should construe that to mean what the scientists don’t know, we are the only form of life in this universe who can think and make decisions on what we eat, how we work, what we do to others. Before I forget, forget space algae or single cell life as those specimens barely qualify for life as we have it. So, why are we so very anxious to take our own lives or the lives of our fellows?

Life is hard . . . quite true. And the difficulty does not choose rich or poor. No, that is the province of circumstance and circumstance is darned near eternal. Eternal. That is one heck of a long time isn’t it? Do we think in terms of the eternal. Most of us don’t have time (irony there) to consider the eternal or, at best, have a laugh over the eternal among friends or at a nightclub.

Now we are left with circumstance and eternity all in one short article. Where does circumstance end and the eternal begin? In our own individual minds. It is good to put these two subjects on the table to start, don’t you think?
