Little Known

I wonder what it is for a person to be famous? It sounds good on the surface but seems to be limited by physical features; for the most part. Then again, there is you and I. If you’re famous, stop reading now. Attributed to being famous is fame and fortune. Or, in rare instances, self-immolating of oneself.

Self-immolating is more than the proper definition of setting ones derriere on fire. It is associated also with making terrible mistakes in judgement, out of character with one’s station in life. Now, I know nothing about high status, wealth, or being completely stupid.

I have been stupid and one of them was learning how to use servers. That may not seem stupid to you but it brought about max frustration with myself because I am a pseudo perfectionist. I want to be perfect every time I enter code into a Terminal because it requires so much concentration to make a piece of software go from entering a bunch of incomprehensible commands to the server actually come up with what you thought you were creating. It’s a lot like politics. You think you elected the right person but missing one aspect, small as it might be, of that persons personality can lead to disaster for you and your checkbook.

See how I group all of this silliness together to allow your brief inspection into my mind? I don’t either. If I had a chance to look into my mind I rather think there would be a ring around it from booze. I quit that habit over a decade ago but it stopped the dreams for a time and allowed me to sleep all night once in a while. Waking up was another story altogether and it put me in the hospital, well, the veterinarians office but one doc is like all the rest of ’em.

I want to speak of trees next. Trees-warmth in the winter and shade in the summer. It’s an old tale isn’t it?
